KORAZA MEMBRANA 100 PU

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- Shake the product until evenly mixed.
- Do not apply the product at temperatures below 5ºC or above 35ºC. Not even if there is a risk of imminent rain and the substrate is completely dry. The temperature of the substrate must be above 5°C to avoid freezing. Apply the product when the temperature is 3°C above the dew point.
-For maximum performance it is recommended not to dilute the product. Ready to use.
- Sanitise the surface by removing all dirt, grease, rust, moss, algae, lichen, mould, mildew and other contaminants. Surfaces shall be clean, firm and free from poor adhesion (mechanical removal of scale, efflorescence and other film imperfections).

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS:
It can be in frequent but not permanent contact with water (does not re-emulsify). It is resistant to standing water and suitable for wet areas, but is not designed to protect against permanent water accumulation. Not suitable for waterproofing water tanks or swimming pools. To ensure watertightness, the reinforcement of singular points with a gridded fibergloss/geotextil strip (50-100gr/m2) is mandatory and it is advisable to reinforce the entire roof with geotextile for greater mechanical resistance and durability.

In order to avoid stresses on the polyurethane membrane, it is necessary to reinforce active cracks, half-rounds and any other singular element with gridded fibergloss/geotextil strip (50-100gr/m2. It must be laid with the membrane still fresh, before applying the
continuous coating on the rest of the surface. Do not use on substrates with rising damp. It is recommended not to apply if rain is expected within 24 hours after application. Avoid application during high levels of humidity.

In indoor environments, provide good ventilation and air renewal. Drying times and film curing may vary depending on humidity and ventilation.

In case of tiling or use under screed: apply 2-3 coats with a consumption of 1.

7 L/m²). Reinforcement with fibreglass reinforcement mesh, respecting the drying time between coats. After the application of the last layer, silica aggregate shall be applied while the membrane is still wet, with a consumption of 0.
5 to 1 kg/m2 of medium-sized silica aggregate (approx. 350 microns) to ensure proper adhesion of the tiling. Wait at least 72 hours before covering with cement.

- Cement mortars: Clean the surface of any foreign substances, residues and poorly adhered product. Use abrasive blasting to prevent efflorescence and neutralise alkaline surfaces. On very smooth surfaces, key lightly with sandpaper. Putty appropriately if necessary.
The treatment shall not be started before the cementitious substrate is fully cured and dry (minimum 30 days). The humidity value measured with a hygrometer shall never exceed 4%. Apply FIJAMONT, suitably diluted and in sufficient quantity to completely seal the substrate. It is highly recommended to apply subsequently a first coat of PRIMER KORAZA that improves adhesion and facilitates the incorporation of the gridded fibreglass. After 4-6 hours, apply a coat of KORAZA 100% PU. After 24 hours, apply the second coat of KORAZA 100% PU incorporating the gridded fibreglass mesh and apply KORAZA 100% PU until it is completely submerged. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Apply a third coat of KORAZA 100% PU.

-Catalan rasilla or matt porous brick:
Proceed as for cement mortars. It is highly recommended to apply a first coat of PRIMER KORAZA once the surface has been cleaned, as this product facilitates the incorporation of the fibreglass mesh.

-Polyurethane foam:
Direct application of KORAZA 100% PU.

-Asphalt covering:
Check adherence and if necessary anchor with IMPRIMACIÓN EPOXI SUELOS. Treat mouldy surfaces with Monto Limpia Moho. Proceed in the same way as for cement mortars.

Recommended minimum consumption: Three coats of 0.
50 l/m2. Incorporate the gridded fibreglass into the second coat.

OTHER SURFACES:
-Ceramic surfaces (tiled, stoneware or similar surfaces): Proceed to completely remove any
remaining contaminant using detergent, alcohol, or solvent (proceeding to rinse with water in the case of detergent). Previously apply a coat of IMPRIMACIÓN EPOXI SUELOS or MONTOPRIMER TOTAL ACQUA.

-Concrete surfaces: New pavements should not be painted before 28 days so that the concrete is fully cured and has a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm² and tensile strength of 1.
5 N/mm². The maximum moisture content of the system must be less than 4% at a depth of 1.
5-2 cm (tramex-type meter). The pavement must be clean and uniform. It is essential to regulate the surface so that it is uniform and thus favours the anchoring of the paint. Apply with a brush or roller. Apply a coat of PRIMER KORAZA before hand.

-Ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces such as galvanised or aluminium: Apply MONTOPRIMER TOTAL ACQUA as a primer to ensure adhesion.
